Or perhaps you want to hike on area trails, or simply explore our own old growth forest right in town (Askew Park) or the history and imagination of our downtown park- McMillan Waterwheel Park. This park maintains our forestry history in various ways, whether it is the children's activites areas, the native flora throughout, or the carvings of indigenous animals sitting high atop tree stumps, or the Park bandshell, stage to musical entertainment throughout the year. Everywhere you turn, you will be amazed.
Special events throughout the year reveal our diversity of interests- summer music events including Accordian Fest, FiddleFest and the arts events - Arts Odyssey, Art in the Park, Ladysmith Arts on the Avenue and the various Arts tours, as well as regional Farm Tours, just to name a few. In the fall there is the Wine Festival as well as Pumpkinfest in Ladysmith end of October, and Christmas light up Festivals throughout our region end of November. So much to see and do!
